Arrangements for recorder consort by R. D. Tennent of three “airs”
(arias) with instrumental ritornelli, from celebratory odes composed by
Henry Purcell in 1683 (Z.~339 and Z.~324) and 1694 (Z.~323). Soprano player doubles on Tenor.

This orchestral suite was left incomplete by Purcell in a manuscript. R.D. Tennent added the inner voices where they were missing and arranged the the six movements for recorder quartet. The suite starts with an Overture in the French style and continues with an Aire, a Boree (Bourée), a Minuett, and another Aire, and ends with a light-hearted Jigg.
